Biography[]
Charleston appears as the main antagonist in "Alex Gets Schooled" as the headmaster of Dorsal Academy. When he was ten years old, he was rescued by dolphins after falling off his family's yacht, and they ended up raising him. This experience left him feeling indebted to them.
When he revealed his plan to the spies, he expressed his anger over the treatment of dolphins by humans. He stated, "What do these kind creatures get in return? Polluted oceans? Fishing nets and speedboat collisions? Well, not anymore!"
Charleston developed the "Dolphinizer," which he used to infuse the students of Dorsal Academy with dolphin DNA, transforming them into half-dolphin, half-human hybrids. His goal was to instill in them a greater respect for Mother Nature.

- The story is a variation on the "raised by wolves" story.
- Charleston resembles the Penguin and Sir Topham Hatt (The Fat Controller, "The Railway Series", "Thomas & Friends").
- He is based on the late W.C. Fields or J. Wellington Wimpy from Popeye comics series. His nose looks like Cuthbert Cringeworthy's from The Beano's The Bash Street Kids and Jimmy Durante's nose.
- As Charleston referred to the dolphins as his "family", it can be argued that he was motivated to carry out his plan out of love.
- Clover commented that he was "crazy much" for having dolphins as a family.
- It can be inferred that he came from a wealthy family due to them having a yacht.
- It is likely that he was the first person he used his "Dolphinizer" on so that he could be closer to those that he saw as his family.
- At the end of the episode, despite undergoing the same process of dolphin DNA removal as the others, he is shown to still have a large dorsal fin on his back, hinting that perhaps his transformation into a dolphin is more permanent than the one he had put his students through.
- While searching through his office, both Samantha and Clover came to the conclusion that he quote, "really loved his dolphins." This was because his office space was heavily decorated with dolphin trinkets and he possessed many books and photographs about them.
