Beverly Hills High School - 8:30 AM
Clover: And that's what she said, so I am still on the waiting list for Mucha's must-have Exclusack, the very bag Mandy brought to school yesterday.
Alex: Ouch!
Clover: I know. It's just not fair.
Sam: What's wrong, Alex? Are you in pain?
Alex: Yeah, I have this raging toothache. Luckily it only hurts when I eat, talk, or breathe.
Clover: Excuse me, can we get back to the real crisis here? I mean, Mandy only got the bag because she bribed the sales clerk. Personally I would never stoop so low.
The bus arrives. Mandy comes out of the bus, much to the girls' surprise.
Samantha: Speaking of stooping, why is Mandy taking the bus?
Mandy: For your information, I'm doing research for a term paper on public transportation. So far, I give it an F.
Clover (with devil horns): The bus or your paper?
Mandy shows her Exclusack bag.
Mandy: Still jealous, huh? Guess some of us are Exclusack people, and some of us aren't.
Mandy laughs. Clover gets mad and imagines a garbage truck dumping garbage on Mandy. Transition to the school cafeteria. The girls go to sit at the table and see Mandy at another table.
Clover: Am I hallucinating, or is that Mandy eating a bologna sandwich?
Mandy: What are you looking at? (The girls look at her in shock) It just so happens that I can't stand cafeteria food. Gives me meaning to the word 'grody'.
Mandy eats a sandwich.
Samantha: Uh, the cafeteria food is grody? She’s the one who brought a bologna sandwich.
Alex's tooth hurts even more.
Alex: Ow! At least she can eat.
Sam: Alex, your tooth is probably infected. You need to see a dentist.
Clover: Please, are you kidding? Last time Alex went to the dentist, she made a major impression (imagines Alex biting the dentist's hand) on the dentist's hand.
Alex: What do you expect? He was the one who stuck his hand in my mouth.
Clover: Hello, kind of the point of going to the dentist.
